About
Harehurst Jewellery is based in the south of England, near the Hampshire/West Sussex border. With a studio that backs onto the South Downs National Park, many of our pieces of jewellery are inspired by nature, from actual shapes and textures, to capturing the form and movement of objects found in the chalk downland, woodland and coastal local environments.
Each piece of jewellery is handmade in our workshop. We use a variety of techniques to create our designs, from metal forming techniques such as forging, through to lost-wax casting, cuttlefish casting, and capturing detail through piercing, rolling and etching. Read our blog to find out more about these techniques, including information about how some of our items are made.
Most of our jewellery designs are created in recycled sterling silver and gold, though some designs include fine silver bezels and gemstones. We clearly indicate on the product page the metals and stones used.
Although the UK Hallmarking Act 1973 requirement is that all items over 7.78g of silver are hallmarked, all our pieces of jewellery are hallmarked by the London Assay Office to assure quality and fineness. We are also proud to be Gold members of the Guild of Jewellery Designers.
